Some bleak imagery from the HL2 mod, ‘No More Room In Hell’.

We are having a meetup at QuakeCon 2012 this year in Dallas, Texas. If you’re in the area or going to QuakeCon come on by and say hello!
Adding a medkit was one of the original features we planned on having when we wrote up our design doc back when we started this mod. Although, as we had too many other features to focus on it was eventually cut for version 1.00
Fast forward to today we once again have plans for 1.05 to add to and to expand our health system. One of the key features we are adding is a chance for players to bleed out when struck by a zombie or shot by another player. We will be adding a medkit which will heal and also stop players from completely bleeding out. The code implementing the bleed out effect is mostly done and we also have a blood particle effect and medkit model finished. What we are still toying around with is how to tie the feature in with our minimalistic HUD i.e. how to tell the player they are bleeding out. Either way we think players will enjoy the new possibilities that come with the medkit!

You do NOT need to buy any game to play NMRiH but you do need to install a Source SDK Base 2007 on steam first. It is quite simple to do. First go into your steam library. Click on the dropdown menu that should say “All Games” next to the search bar. Select “Tools” and “Source SDK Base 2007” should be in the list of tools to install.

We are going to try and shoot for next patch 1.05 or 1.06. Our level designers have a few maps in the works and we are testing them weekly. Here’s a sneak peak of one of SotaPoika’s latest creations:

I’ll have to talk to the building manager to get this all straightened out.
You can download it off of moddb.com:

1.03 - 1.04 Patch if you already have 1.03 installed:
Marines or national guard are modeled and are currently in the build. The only issue is we haven’t implemented the AI code nor do we have map/gamemode that they would work well with right now. Here is a fairly old screen shot from when our character artist was originally making the two models we have now:
Barricading is indeed in. Although it is somewhat limited right now. With the hammer weapon and the boards as ammo you can right click and place boards on door frames.
